Medical Scientific Liaison Manager (w/m) Endocrinology

Job Summary
The Medical Science Liaison will provide clinical and scientific information in response to unsolicited enquiries about our customer´s marketed and developmental products to physicians, other health care providers, medical centres and staff, health maintenance organizations, and government health agencies with a focus on the countries of deployment. The MSL will also identify and develop relationships with regional and national key opinion leaders in close co-ordination with the Director Medical Affairs Europe. The Medical Science Liaison will collaborate with other field-based personnel to ensure that our customer maintains a strong clinical and scientific presence in the field.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Enhance the customer’s image as an advocate of medical advancement by using knowledge of product, disease state and pipeline products to engage healthcare providers in meaningful scientific exchange of information
  • Maintains business and clinical knowledge of treatment trends including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, and new therapeutic developments.
  • Increases our customer's visibility among leaders in the relevant therapeutic fields. Identifies, establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key national Endocrinology KOLs, and institutions.
  • Participates in medical education for healthcare professionals through presentations at office visits, medical meetings, and other appropriate venues to enhance product and disease state knowledge.
  • Collaborates with clinical team and CRA's to coordinate and optimize educational and research support for sites/investigators participating in our customer's clinical trials.
  • Responds to unsolicited request for medical information associated with supported products and disease state areas.
  • Provides effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences and tailors presentations to meet specific needs of the audience (appropriate response to unsolicited requests).
  • Identifies and communicates key clinical and research issues and insights from industry leaders to appropriate departments to help shape company research, development, and strategies for investigational and commercialized products.
  • Present scientific and clinical data for our customer’s marketed products
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and providers at academic and non-academic settings in order to achieve mutually agreed upon objectives (i.e., investigator-initiated studies, publications, etc.)
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive, collaborative attitude that exemplifies ownership of business, partnership with key opinion leaders, teamwork with peers, and respect of supervisors, peers and customers
  • Possess a proven ability to effectively communicate complex information
  • Develop and prioritize solutions to problems, understand relationship between actions and results and able to understand and appreciate needs of customers

Education and Experience:
  • Local and English language capability
  • PhD, PharmD, MD or MS degree
  • Product launch experience advantageous
  • Profound experience MSL
  • Endocrinology experience pre requisite
  • Thorough understanding of the local health system
  • Understanding of compliance environment and relevant codes of practice
  • Understands the commercial agenda
  • Strong scientific / clinical understanding
  • Credibility with clinician & health system personnel KOL’s
  • Networking skills
  • Strong IT skills especially MS Office
  • Overnight stays with extensive National and International travel is expected from the role
